Self Dearmouring - Our Amazing Cervix

This class is a focused session on the cervix and the surrounding ligaments that hold it in place, covering anatomy and hands-on connection technique. It opens with an explanation of cervical anatomy — including the ligaments and muscle fibers supporting the womb — and how much of the pain or discomfort attributed to the cervix itself actually originates in these surrounding ligaments tightening or "guarding." The class then works through finding a comfortable working position (with guidance on adjusting frequently for comfort), initial connection at the vaginal opening, and detailed cervix work including circling, holding, and a sideways stretching technique aimed at releasing tension in the supporting ligaments, with each hold sustained for 20 seconds to a minute. Throughout, it addresses using presence, breath, and stillness (rather than active stimulation) to build connection, the energetic and nerve-based link between the cervix and the nipples, and how the cervix can act as a guide for reflecting on personal questions or life patterns. A closing period is followed by an extended Q&A.
