This class introduces the concept of "self de-armoring," a somatic practice aimed at releasing physical and emotional tension held in the pelvic and genital area. It covers the theory behind "armor" — areas of the body that hold tension, numbness, pain, or reduced sensation due to past experiences — and explains how touch, breath, and awareness can be used to reconnect with and release these patterns. The instructional portion covers practical techniques including hand positioning, pressure, and touch styles (such as circular motion, stretching, and sustained holding), the use of breath and sound to support release, and guidance for working with different areas of the vulva, the vaginal opening, and the cervix.
